New RSVP System for Events

Hey all! Our last few events have been hugely successful (hooray!) and we have a few more in the works that we think you’ll enjoy just as much. However, as you may have noticed, our current “leave a comment to RSVP” system isn’t exactly suited for these types of events where attendance is limited and demand is high.

In order to make things easier for us and more clear for you, we’re trying out a new system to manage RSVP’s for these kinds of events (happy hours and open events will still utilize the old system).

You will be asked to register through EventBrite, effectively “purchasing” a ticket and confirming your spot at the event. You only need to register for an account with EventBrite; for free events, no payment/credit card info is required. Also, we’ll have a final list of confirmed attendees, so no need to worry about printing tickets/confirmations. We know who you are! :)

Once all the spots are filled, the registration will turn over to a Waiting List, where you can sign up to get a spot in case someone cancels. If someone does cancel, spots will be released in the order in which people signed up, and you will have 24 hours to claim your spot before it is released to the next person. As such we do ask that if you have a reserved spot and your plans change, please let us know ASAP so we can give  your spot to someone else.

We’d definitely love to hear your feedback on the new system!

Great addition! I’ve used Eventbrite before. Always works very well for me. Good idea to keep things organized!
